Included in Leipzig’s yearly art festival, Lindenow, Inner Space is a group show exploring quiet moments of stillness. These paintings and multimedia works allow the viewer a window into the internal monologue of each artist, a calm space necessary to navigate identity and presentation in hostile surroundings.
Queer and BIPOC* individuals in particular often find the need to retreat inward to find solace in times of crisis or confrontation, processing micro-aggressions and othering as daily realities.
